General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Postby asianflava » Tue May 31, 2011 1:36 pm

I only go to this forum. Although, I'm not on here that much anymore. :(

About ITG, we're still on the fence. I'm trying to convince my wife that we should go. It's not the number of people, it's not the expense, but the fact that it's Minden. The only reason I'd want to go is to see old friends and that it isn't too far away.

Maybe I should go just to try to convince George to have it closer to home.

When a few of us got together for a weekend of camping last month in Colorado, George said there were about 30-40 preregistered.

I will go if my project for work is finished in time.

Well, I was slow this time and just got my reservation made today. But we will be there!
Rocky, it would be great to see you guys again!
Lynn & Paul, looking forward to seeing you there also. Seeing as how you are only an hour away from us it seems silly that we only see you at out of state gatherings! lol!

Can't wait to get there!!

Gage, no only one. We took your advice :worship: and are bringing my yellow one. But we are going to try and pull it with my '57 Chevy 210, if we get it done in time. Looking forward to camping with you again!

I have a Rear door Scotty the tear drop rallies are just for tear drops. My camper is only 6' wide and 12' from hitch to rear bumper. Would my camper be considered as a tear drop and be able to camp with others or would I have to camp in the back 40?

In the past, there were other types of vintage type trailers present, check Gages pics. Where you would have to camp is up to the organizers, however, at the 2nd one, there were other RV's that weren't part of the group in the main camping area.

For me...I prefer camping across the street. It's all grass and you aren't on top of someone, water is present and there is/was an electrical post out there. Pick a tree and park under it for shade. Doug

I'm bringing my Field and Stream. So like Doug says, bring the Scotty. The ITG staff will try and locate you where you wish. No problem. Right now it looks like there will be big RV's along the street. Pioneer Village won't let us have those spaces because they are full hook-ups and they can make more money on them by not letting us use them (new management). :(

NEWS FLASH: As of Friday June 3rd, there was 35 pre-registered and another half dozen saying they would be registering at the ITG. So that's 40+ teardrops and vintage trailers that will be there. And I might add that registrations are still coming in. :applause:

Hope that satisfies the few that just had to know. ;)

There are a bunch of us, including George & others of us on the ITG Committee, who are planning on camping in the "primitive campground", so you would be in good company if you camped there. It is right across from the main campground.

What's the protocol for late arrival? We think we'll be able to come, but we can't leave until Mel gets off work at noon on Fri. I thought I had posted this somewhere, but it must have been one of the times when I got a critical error.
