Out from under the lurker rock!

Postby DLFLHT » Thu Jun 02, 2011 8:49 pm

Hi!
I came across this site as I began researching teardrops and it's been a great help. We're considering a teardrop now that our youngest just hit 18 and we'll be vacationing on our own more and more. The more I look, the more I'm thinking I need to build (or kit) to get what we want. Anyway, great site - back to reading post after post!

Welcome aboard. There's tons of ideas and methods here on this site. You can either build from some of the free plans in the design library, or freelance your own build. Most importantly, have fun with the build, makes all the more enjoyable when you go out with it and everyone asks about it. Doug

Dennis & Kathy,

Welcome to the forum, tear-dropping is a great way to camp, the baby is gone and you two need a good project.

Good luck

John

After wrestling with this for over a year and considering all the options we ordered a Cozy Cruiser. It's being built now and should be done the end of May. We looked at Cozy Cruisers a year ago and liked what we saw, but had a couple of concerns. In the meantime, the original owners retired and sold out to a couple in Springfield, OR. The new owner seems like a great match for the business. He has an RV repair business and has been in the industry for 20 years. He kept on the employee who's been doing most of the building for the last ten years. He's also made some evolutionary, but nice changes - hardwood headers, radial tires, upgraded windows in the doors, full LEDs, etc. So, we're excited to be on the verge of owning a teardrop! :applause:
