what to do?

need advice on a finish I'm torn on whether to clearcoat the ply or paint. so the polls are open. I'll hang up and listen.

I would put one layer of the 4 oz fiberglass cloth on, then paint over that with a UV stable paint.

while I lean towards the scarlet and gray I think you have answered your own question.

Thin layer of fiberglass & Automotive Paint & you'll never have to touch it again.

Natural wood look requires attention from time to time.

I'll vote for Paint.
