These 5 pics will give you an idea what I am playing with today...
Here I've glued on the subfloor cleats on the inside of the dropped floor. I tried doing it on the outside a couple weekends ago, but then I couldn't get the dropped floor to drop into the hole in the frame.
Here's the dropped floor installed. We are going to put some poly on the dropped floor this afternoon, so we don't mess it all up with dirty footprints!
I also installed the keys on one side. The position seems right, so I'll take em off this afternoon, put some glue on them, and put them right back on. Here's the front key... (BTW, notice how it reinforces the front overhang!!!
Here's the rear key..
And here's the wall, setting on top of the keys, with spacers that represent the 1/2" plywood floor. If there is anytime I'll start on that later today...
I think I need one of those hats that hold a can of beer on each side, with a straw to the mouth. It's pretty hot and humid out there today!!!
Mike...
P.S. Has anyone ever tried cutting foam after the canvas has been glued onto the sides?
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
