I have one just like you at home, I explain she only has 2 feet and its imposible to wear 200 pairs of shoes at one time, but she still buys another pair.

The other week she had her credit card stolen, I am not going to report it as the thief is spending far less.

Here's some pics of the little bit we got done last weekend.

Me Sanding.

Image

Here is one side partly sanded. I think we over sanded just a weeeee bit. LOL
Image

Here is both sides in the rack that Charlie built for me. That way I can walk in and kind of place things and draw on the walls.
Image

I'll be back in a lil bit. I gotta upload the pics from this weekend.

This was yesterday.

OPPS! Yepper we broke the foam in that corner. I tried GG on it but I'm not real happy with it so I am probably going to cut a peice out and make a new one. It's OK...we'll fix it.

These are dowel pegs that Charlie made to make the windows sturdier. I didn't think we needed them but Papa did and what Papa wants, Papa gets. :)

Here is one of the pegs inserted.

And this is the pictures from today....

OK, notice that some places the glue is so puffed up that it's trying to bust out of the tape. Other places the glue didn't take at all and I had to redo it. I don't know why it's doing that. Maybe I'm not getting costistant water on it?

And yep, one of the pegs busted out. It's OK...we'll fix it.

Here is a trial fit of the window that will go in there. It came from a trailer that we sent to trailer heaven.

Finally! I got some glue on. This is TB3 on canvas. It was still a little tacky when it got dark so I wonder how many bugs and frogs I will catch tonight? I used 1 1/2 gallons on this side.

Isn't this beautiful? This is the door frame that Charlie made for me.

love the way you don't worry about things, you will fix them.

did you use full tb on the canvas? or did you dilute?

:applause:

Hey guys, Ty for the nice comments, and I'm sorry that I didn't get back to this sooner.

The inside of the trailer is 12 ft 5 inches long where it is longest, 6 ft wide and 6 ft tall at the tallest point. I will try to get a picture of me or Charlie standing in front of it.

I used TB3 on it and I cut it about 10% with watter. TB3 has a completely different texture that TB2.

I really really don't like the glue and canvas that I put on yesterday. First I don't like the TB3. It dries brown. And when you are applying it, it has kind of a slippery texture to it. It was similar to using gloss house paint. I don't know if that makes since or not.

The other thing that I don't like is using the painters drop cloth. You either have to put up with the seams or you have to cut them out and deal with the ragged edges. I might take this off and try it again using some TB2 and some regular canvas from the fabric store. I have some canvas from another project so I am trying a sample tonight. I just checked Hancocks and they have it 60inches wide for $5.99 a yard so if this works better, I will be making a trip to Merrit Island to get me some. We will see how it works in the morning. Right now it looks like the stuff from a fabric store will be much easier to deal with and it doesn't cost much more than the painters canvas...a lot less wrinkles too. I will take pics tomorrow.

And I didn't get all the glue rinsed out of my paint brush yesterday so when I went to get it the thing was hard and stuck to the sidewalk. I think I am going to have to use the Eagle method of application and put on some gloves. I mixed the trial TB2 with about ½ water. We will see how that works.

Fabric stores usually have the heavier/thicker weight canvas ... the heavier the canvas the stronger it is, the stronger the trailer ... Linen canvas , while more expensive is even Stronger than the cotton types ...
If you can get your hands on a piece of Fire hose ... that has a really THICK outer canvas, very suitable for reinforcing strips in High stress areas , and the inner canvas (hose) has a rubber liner , very nice for waterproof flaps or hinge seals ... So many things you can use ...
even tried bedsheets , which work fine in low stress areas, nice and smooth ... and then I keep looking at that pile of old blue jeans ... and the pockets ...
