Great Work Billy,

I'm really enjoying your thread so far. Just wondering if you could tell me where you got your doors from?

Cheers,

TY, I am enjoying the build.....most of the time :D
...other times; my truck drivin, Marine, bar hoppin', hillbilly vocabulary, gets it's exercise..

The doors and other parts came from Vintek aka Frank Bear

A pictoral update...
As we left for CRA...with a tent
Image

I don't know what I am doing wrong in photobucket...I resized down to the 320x240....pic looks awfully big here though...

I'll try a couple more and then let it be..
I used 'liquid nails' FUZE, as the glue, notched trowel,1" cargo straps and staples (mostly the glue held by itself though).

I've done more, but the pics are so big I will hold off until I can down size them...

Okay...think I got the size thing now...

My camera was in the house all night and fogged up a bit on the first two pics but; I think you can get the jist...

Image

Image

Those two show how it was last night and the next gives an idea of how many staples I used.

Image

A bit fuzzy but, you can see how the staples come out...though some only pull on one side and you have to use pliers to remove them from the wood.

Image

Image

...and this is how I will leave it until I get home again...

Thank you for the kind words.
I am very happy we made it to CRA.
Too many ideas, trailers, and people to
remember everything
I do remember guitars and singers, though...lol.

Cliff gently brought to my attention that I left out some important points...

Things like..
-Cabot deck stain, and regular stains for color and UV
- Cabot Spar Varnish for the seal
-I used Liduid Nails - Fuze-It, as the glue - wood/metal and wood/wood
- some pocket holes and Fuze-IT for wall/wall
- staples and Fuze-IT for trim
- ALL the seams and joints get silicone (I know... ;) )

Anything I can answer, I'd be happy to...if, I don't have an answer...well, we can work that out, too!!

Thanks for the nudge, Cliff. I'll do better with the rest of the build.

I get in a hurry and forget to tell the details, and usually forget the camera...my head is attached though...Been pushing with limited time off to get a shell and am 90.26 something percent there...

 Billy didn't mean it like that, was just curious as we both did ours opposite of each other. Mine is almost done on inside and almost to point of getting outside done. I liked the contrast of the light colored sides to the dark trim which is the same thing I'm going for on mine. I understand the time constraint as I leave on Monday and make it back home of fridays and it stinks when it comes to working on a tear . Well keep it goin' bud.

Hey Billy

Your profile and hatch design kinda reminds me of Scooters road camper. Keep up the good work.
