Tire Rack and more.

Postby nrody » Mon Jun 13, 2011 8:46 pm

I was driving around town today trying to get everything done before my work week starts while the child is in school (cause he hates to run errands with grandma) and I saw this pick up truck with a really cool tire rack. I thought this could work on a teardrop. I pulled up next to the guy and asked him where he got the tire rack and he said this manufacture in San
Diego called Aluminess, www.aluminess.com.
So naturally when I had a little down time I went on line and checked it out. A little pricy but really neat stuff. Thought some of the Forum members might like to take a look if for nothing else for ideas.

enjoy

Nancy :)

Why not make one that swings out and the tire flips up into a round table.
Has been done by a few here.
Can't remember who.

Tire rack

That was my thought too! But oh the price!
I liked the box mounted to the same kind of hinged mechanism for a battery box, cause the door of my tear opens forward over the tongue and something like that could work very well. I think I could modify a tire rack from the auto salvage yard and save some big bucks.
