Sorry I don't have any pictures to contribute, but I felt compelled to reply to this thread. I really like the idea of a Teardrop Lifestyle page, and I think yours will be be very nice.

I read the text that you have posted so far, and it's great. If I have any criticism at all, it's a minor point that I think could be mentioned about teardropping (is that a word?) in general and this forum in particular. That is the fact that the newcomer as well as the seasoned teardrop veteran are both welcomed with the same open armed friendliness you won't find in other places.

I'm new to teardrops, I don't have one yet, therefore I don't know a lot about the teardrop lifestyle - I only know what I've read here and on other sites. I don't have a lot to contribute to the various discussions here, but I've never felt like I was not welcome to join in. In fact, it's been just the opposite. I've never seen the "Oh, he's just a newbie, so he doesn't know squat" attitude displayed here. I've yet to see any snobbish attitudes ("Oh he only has a homemade 8X4 plywood cheapie - it's not a real teardrop like my 1947 Kit...") Instead I see nothing but enthusiasm and a passion for these little trailers and their owners that isn't very common these days. The almost instant camaraderie is unbelievable - especially to uninitiated like me.

That's a major attraction for someone like me who's so new that he doesn't even know how much he doesn't know yet, and I'm willing to bet that it would be for others new to the scene, or just checking things out for the first time. It's just my opinion, and it's worth every penny you paid for it - I just thought it should be mentioned.

Overall, I think your page is a great idea, and I can't wait to see some of the fantastic pictures people have posted here added to it. Personally, I hope the page is never finished, and that as folks find the page, they contribute more.

Good luck in your venture, and I hope it's a major success.

I've posted some of your pics

Postby oregonguy » Fri Jun 17, 2011 4:06 pm

Hi everybody. I went and posted some of your pics on our site...thanks everyone for the great input. To check them out go here: http://oregontrailer.net/Oregon_Trailer/Teardrop_Lifestyle.html
I still have a lot of pics to sort through, so don't be disappointed if you don't see yours up there yet.

Once again I really appreciate all the support. We are trying to get our little business off the ground and we think showing people how much fun we all have in these trailers is a great way to do it. :D Also we're having a blast just getting to see all the great pics!

Tom,
I really don't know how to express how I feel about your build. I have followed it from the beginning. Your attention to detail, and awesome ability to assemble one of most professionally built teardrops on this forum, truly has me awe struck. Yours is by far in the top 10 best builds!!! Great job!!
