GPW, Most of the stuff I learned was things ya'll have already brought out.
I'll try to post them as I think of them. After camping in it for two years, I've forgotten a lot of the painful lessons.
1. Something I've seen mentioned which I think is a real necessity with foam is the perforation tool mentioned in another thread. No matter what you are using to cover the foam, the bond is only as good as the surface and the foam does give way no matter how well it's stuck in the beginning. You need as much penetration into the foam as you can possibly get.
2. Never use bondo on bare foam. The heat causes seperation with the foam later on. Best way I've found to fill foam is with the spray foam. Also once you have epoxy set on the foam you can use bondo with good results.
