The floor is simply a 3 ft square piece of 3/4 inch baltic birch which will handle the dual hitch supports and the required metal connectors to the single highway-rated, pnuematic tire and wheel. Sidewalls are of 1/4 inch plywood and the curved roof is simply one layer of 1/8 inch ply. Roof cross members are 3/4 x 1 1/8 inch pine, glued and screwed to the sidewall connections.
I began construction 3 weeks ago and it is now ready for varnish on the interior surfaces and fiberglass resin on all of the exterior corners which will be followed by 3 coats of silver house paint to match the color of my Camry. (always wanted to have a matching hauler). So far, without the hitch connectors and the single wheel, the little thing only weighs 80 pounds. I hope the additional weight of the metal components, will keep the total weight under 150 lbs.
The info I get from the DMV literature, states that anything that is less than 4 feet from the rear tail lights of the car, need not have lights or flags. However, I am afraid I will have to register it and have it licensed as well.........bummer. Of course, tracking and backing is of no concern with a single wheel trailer. Wherever the car goes, the trailer goes, forward of backwards, with no additional effort. We'll see.
I have taken pics of my progress and will post them as soon as the sweet daughter comes over and loads them into my PC.

(PS, and yes, I can turn over while in bed within the "Cramper-Camper"!)
