USAF Retired (almost!)

Postby NutmegJoe » Mon Jun 20, 2011 3:01 pm

Hey Fellow Teardroppers!!

Just wanted to drop a note to let you all know that I'm just about officially retired from the Air Force. (No more work anyways!)

Had my big retirement ceremony last week...lots of family and friends came to town for it. I was truly amazed at how blessed I am.

I'll be leaving North Dakota in a few weeks headed for my new life in Northern California. Can't wait to be near my teardrop family out there and see you at all the gatherings from now on...I won't win any Longest Trail awards anymore but that's fine with me!

:relaxing: :icedtea: :woohoo:

Love you all!
Shelly

Shelly, congrats.
Hope to be able to see you at more events now that your 'commute' will be a whole lot shorter.

Thank you for your service. My dad also did 25 years in the Air Force, retired in 1970.
Now my son is finishing his training in the army and I really appreciate the dedication it takes.

So again we thank you. :applause:

Welcome to the USAF Retired Club!

I (well, I mean we, my wife supported me the entire time) served in the USAF from 1982 to 2002.

Thanks everyone! It feels pretty good...

The movers are here this week to pack me up and hopefully I'll make it out before the city of Minot is under water. It's getting bad here...time to go!
