That's the way I'm thinking of doing it. Along with adding the rounded portion on the front to cut down on wind resistance.

And I would love to get a copy of SKP file on the Conestoga, too, please sir.

Do we have a place/room on the server for user generated SKP files? Seems like it would be a nice addition as there are so many talented folks out there designing now. Just me $.02...

Yep!!! I really should give credit where credit is due. Yours was a lot better than mine. Thanks Scott.

Been thinking about how to convert my crawl in bed to a dinette and think I came up with an idea that might work. Couple of hinged panels in the center and a brace on the front wall to support/brace it it in the up position. The skeg (for lack of a better word) attached to the bottom of the table top to support that portion. The pic shows it in fully open, partially open and closed positions. Enough room for two people to eat and an additional 3 feet of floor space when open.

WOW! I love it! That arrangement adds a lot of strength to the bed platform itself and addresses a few questions I had about mounting the bed platform in your Vardo design. Very innovative idea!

You don't give yourself enough credit for your Sketchup models. They're excellent!

Tinksdad, that is a very elegant solution!

I'm very impressed with all the designs that have popped up lately. Makes me seriously consider not selling that "spare" frame out back!

I love the table idea. I occurred to me that two skegs (one on each side) would stabilize the table...have to consider the elbow leaners. :applause:

I guess that would shorten up the knee room.

Here's a drawing of the proposed rib attachment method, with filler strips between the ribs to level the surface for foam attachment ...

Went to the guitar shop today (while the site was down) My Pal Vinney said it would be no problem bending the ribs that size .... he suggested Pecan over Hickory because it was locally available , it had similar bending properties , and he would cut the strips for me on his Big saw ... 8)

That's what it is there for - for people to use - why recreate the wheel? And you really don't have to give me credit - unless you sell the plans - then just the $$$$ ;)
