Hi from Michigan

Postby glwt06 » Thu Jun 23, 2011 9:27 pm

Hi everyone,

My wife and I stumbled on a great deal and bought a 12 foot United v-nose cargo trailer back in May. We had a road trip planned and were going to use a pop up camper. I quickly threw together a conversion including 110 & 12 volt electrical systems, lights and heat. I used windows from Lil Bear tag alongs and vents I found on ebay. We then towed it 5300 miles in 18 days from Michigan to the Yellowstone, Utah and Colorado area. It worked great and all of the information I got from this forum with your help.

I now plan to do away with the temporary and quick set ups and do a proper conversion.

This is our truck and trailer on the Big Horn Mountain at the Powder River Pass on June 5.

Thanks again everyone and I look forward to meeting all of you.

Hi Carol,

Thanks for the reply. I'm for the Marysville area, a little south of Port Huron. I have seen a number of members are from Michigan.

It's nice to meet you.

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.
