Dan, that's going to be really nice. Laura is talented. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

Some lucky raffle winner will be getting a real treasure.

Please post this on the "Tearjerkers" forum also. I just want to be sure everyone sees it.

Due to unexpected issues :( ,, there are two cancellations that will open up Sites #73 and #74.
These sites are reserved for three nights (7/14-7/16).

They are offered on a "first come" basis.

The first $85.50 (each) will make them yours.

 The way it is jumping up and down I am starting to wonder if my 111 attendance guess might still be viable

Update on campsites.
As you have noticed there has been a lot of activity regarding site cancellations, transfers and extended stays.

There no problem in doing this but I'd like everyone to remember this.

From the beginning of the registration process, it was stated that "No Refunds would be given after July 1, 2011".

This still holds true so if you can't make it and notify us after July 1, don't expect a refund.

Here is what I can do to help this situation if it happens to come true.

Every day, I get people asking if there are sites open. Currently all sites are spoken for and unless something opens up before the gathering, it will be closed on July 6, 2011.

If you cannot make it and realize it after July 1, I'll have a list of people who want sites published (with email addresses) for you to contact.

I hope this works for everyone since things and plans can change abruptly as I well know.

Kurt,
Would the park folks allow two trailers on one site, since the park is completly booked? For the most part these trailers are so small that two would go on one site just fine. We did it in Madison with no problems.

Joe, you're absolutely right.

I checked into that earlier. State Parks will vary in the way they answer that question.

McCormick's Creek's answer was "NO-Sorry". (for whatever reason)

I explained about the small trailers that only take up about half the normal space but they didn't buy it.

They said they needed to play by the "rules".

They will, however, allow (1) trailer and a tent on each site, so their answer was very "narrow minded".

Oh well....

I think the crowd will be enough to manage the way it is.

Scott,

No Idea but many parks keep several spots "open" for people that just show up without reservations...
You'd think though, that those spots would show up as "reserved" on the map.

Rob
Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
