Canvas covered foamies (Thrifty Alternatives...)

Guys , I have a question .... After looking at my little Foamie , decided it would be best to use a trailer under it that actually fit .... Considering the HF folding trailer (1100lb. ) w/ 12" wheels ... Figuring the cabin weighs around 200 lb.. I still could carry all my gear and the requisite 500 lb.. of Beer...

Anybody have any experience with those ??? Read to use bolts where the pins are ... anything else to consider ... ???

GPW,

Best $200 you'll ever spend!

I used nylok nuts on critical joints... and yes, I replaced the pins with bolts...

Nyloks , Thanks , that makes sense... 8) OK, I'm convinced ... Now to convince "Her Worship".... :o Got the Evil Eye when I mentioned it last .... just because we already have four trailers in the yard , and I want to get another ... what's wrong with that ? ..  :D May just have to do the old "sneak it in" routine.... "Oh yeah Baby, that's been here for years ..." Won't be the first time ... :R

Another trailer and I'll be going to meetings .... :?

Hey mike,

Couldnt you just run the seam horizontal and incorporate some stripes to disguise it? Might be cool to have red foamy with starsky and hutch gran torino stripes!

Just a thought....

Never enough trailers huh ?? I figure it this way ... They're "specialized"... The one TT is just for Bug Out (tis the season ) , The little Cargo trailer is to actually haul things ... :o The Foamie is "experimental" ... ... and then there's the boat and it's trailer ...

The poor little Foamie looks "lost" on the old boat trailer that it's on now ... a nice HF would "finish" it off , look just right !!! As I mentioned this to the wife , got a lecture about thriftiness... So naturally I did the "guy thing" and Lied ... :o Told her I wasn't in a hurry to get one ... My Bad !!!! :R

Strange how that works eh Droid ... The wife buys all kinds of clothes, shoes , and accessories ... pricy stuff ... has her hair done , nails , etc... That's OK, because that's "for Work" ... If I want to buy something , it has to get "approved" ... grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

More than one way to skin that cat ... They force us to be "devious" ... then never forgive us for it ... :R

GPW: Your foamie is a work of art, so needs a set of new wheels to take it to shows, so that makes it work and tax deductable.

When my truck arrived, my wife of 38 years said she hated it and either it goes or she does. Wow i am going to miss her.
