WOW!!!
I also did not realize that Texas had so many counties!!

Watch the fireworks on tv from Washington DC.

Rod, if you were to flip Texas to the East, El Paso would be in the Atlantic ocean. Flip it to the West, and Texarkana would be in the Pacific.

It takes 13 hours and 21 minutes to drive from Texarkana to El Paso.

Yeah, it's a big place.

And, it is HOT!!!

It is 103 right now at the doghouse, and it isn't even 3:00 yet. :o

yeah.. that's a lot of counties..

I am sort of surprised they are being wise enough not do do fireworks right now. I am not specifically "picking on" Texas.. thinking anywhere really.

A lot depends on the city's resources. My suburban city has money out the wazzoo, with firefighting equipment that rivals any city -- and a med-evac helicopter (that takes off over my house at all hours).

So, we had a fireworks show -- two days ago.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY - Rise and Shine..

Did you see me on TV last night?????????? I was waving to you all - at the Capital steps. Must have been 100,000+ people to come and see the fireworks in your Nation's Capital.

Got some rain but it was hot and humide.

Going to climb into the 90+ today and no rain or t-storms schedule. But wait - the day is not over yet...........

well have a great one.......

Hey do you think if you drink something hot and it is hot outside that you will feel cooler?????

I was right next to the "potted plant" on the steps to the right. Was wearing my new cajun inspired father's day - hawaiin shirt. Gee - I was easy to see................

8) Good morning from sunny Orlando.

Disney Studios put on a great fireworks show and a great time was had by all!
Well, almost...Twenty miles away in downtown Orlando, they got hit with some HEAVY RAIN just before their fireworks were scheduled to go off.
As is typical this time of year; the storm passed quickly. I hear that they also had a great show.

Yes, hot and sunny in the low 90s for the day. Maybe some passing storms this afternoon. Lots of humidity!

Hope that you had a great celebration as well!

Rod
