Minnesota shut down

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I would love to camp in Wyoming, you make it sound perfect and lonely. However I usually only have one or two nights and I doubt the airlines would believe the tear was carry on.
Dumb politicians couldn't come to an agreement and walked out. Still no budget here.

I can at least say I did NOT vote for the fools in Columbus. I suppose if the definition of an honest politician is that they stay bought... It is clear that they are using the McBill's churned out by ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council).
I personally think that the Governor does not care if he is re elicited the pay off will be there.
They have BTW voted for drilling in the state parks! :x

I think that the last few years has really been an eye opener for many people across this country. I just shows that We The People need to seriously elect representatives who will handle their respective budgets with the same (or better) care than you do your own ... and they should know that we are paying attention and will take corrective action if necessary.

I was thinking that permanently cancelling their pensions if they fail to pass a budget before the deadline might be a good motivational tool.

And its sad to hear what the vandals are doing to the parks while they are closed. You can walk in to the parks for the day, but people are just leaving their trash behind amongst other things since all bathrooms are closed, its a real mess. Vandals are breaking things.

goverment shut downs I don' t think are bad things. I think they are where the politicans have to learn to eat grass and not think they are so on top of everything.

it might be the only way america gets straightened out is to lose there butts.

Well, they reached a compromise and signed a budget today but...

The shut down cost this state millions, if not billions of dollars in lost revenue. I don't see how a shut down is a good thing.

If anyone learns anything from this, remember that politicians only have their best interests in mind. Not one of these ^@%%^$'s were thinking about MN. Party lines should be drawn on the edge of a cliff and then let them take a step forward.

This is small potatoes. Look what is happening in Washington. Defaulting on loans themselves and kicking our own citizens out of their homes??? Feeding other countries while we have hungry people here??? wow.
