Pendulum Waves

Something fun for your eyes and brain. Just to keep the scientific part of your brain working and mess with it a little bit.
Keep in mind that the period of a pendulum is proportional to its length.
Full screen mode is best.

I have a small pendulum at home-it is suspended over glass beads, like for sandblasting, it's fun to get it swinging and watch the patterns it traces. The strange part is it always seems to trace geometrical shapes, usually rectangular, by the time it is done swinging. 8)
