HUH ! You think that's something I was in Renssellaer IN yesterday and there is a giant Turkey operation based up there. It so happens this is also where Orville Redinbockers pop corn is headquartered. Well you know Turkeys are dumb as a post and yesterday it got so hot the pop corn in the field next door to one of the turkey lots was popping in the field. Well the turkeys saw it happening and thought it was snowing and they froze to death right then and there.

This heat is the worst we have seen in a long long time. It's now 100, and rising. The heat index is 111 with the humidity. The wind is blowing at 20 mph and feels like a hair dryer blowing at ya! We know how to deal with cold as H with mountains of snow, but 100+ with wicked humidity is a bit much for Central NYS.

South central Ks. were on our 26th day of 100 plus, not straight,(we had 2 days in the middle that were 98) heat index has been 110 to 115.I've been working on the teardrop after dark but its still 100 in the shop I'm in hopes to get it done by the time it cools off so we can use it,I couldn't get to exited about going now.

Hate me if you must, but I had the heater on in my pickup today. We are having another summer without summer here in the PNW. I'm not complaining. It is way better than what most of the country is going through. Must run, the sun is trying to make an appearance.

I think that might have been the summer that I spent in El Paso, luckily I was young then so the heat didn't really bother me and my cousins had a swimming pool in the back yard.

Been in the upper 90's with matching humidity here. I have been trying to go out and work on #2 at least an hour every afternoon. Usually sweat through a t-shirt and pants, then saw dust on pants turns to paste. Did set up a small box fan to get at least a little air moving. Some days I get a lot done some days not so much. Have found myself walking around in circles looking for my tape measure (have at least 3 in the garage).

Sioux City is no better. Luckily I work noon to 9PM so I have from 6 AM to about 11 AM to do the van or go fishing. I work in a jean jacket and lap robe kind of place so no outside heat during day. Chuck box and built-ins for van will get done someday.

My HF 40 X 48 is in but I can't pick it up till Sat AM. The 40 x 48 is for chuck box on rear like galley for TD and the front-tongue end will house A/C for van when on shore power. Sat and Sun are my days off. Saturday is scheduled for 100 with 'feels like' of 115 or better.

Its gonna be over a 100 today and tomorrow. I have a portable ac on the boat (the kind with the dryer hose coming out the back side. I added insulation to it but still feel the heat inside) and it isnt doin much when its this hot, thermal mass of the boat I guess. Tomorrow Im headin down to work on lil vardo2 and have to get the frame square gonna be lovely workin in the heat...bleh

I had hopes of following a trail and checking out huckleberries. The Used Dog and I only got about a mile in this morning, then we ran into The Ice Age. We turned around. I don't like to wear snowshoes, and I don't like postholing.
