We've always toted a spare small three man dome tent for multipurpose use to include the kids.
Glad to hear you worked through it and are ready to go enjoy it.

WElcome back bud and congrats on getting it done! I have a couple of questions for you and a suggestion. First in the pic of the tongue and front of the td I noticed a metal box behind the battery, what is it? Your tear looks like its a 4x8 correct? If it is then you can always look for a full air mattress and put in or do like we did on my small tear and use foam and a topper and make you a matress to fully fit the width and then the wifey can sleep inside and you can do an ez up with walls and put a cot for the daughter. Even though I'm a big guy, the wife and I fit fine in our little tear, for some reason she thinks its romantic  go figure! Then everyone can go camping and be happy. You can even cheat and add an a/c on a crate or box in the ez up and cool everyone off. Enjoy your tear bud and enjoy life.

Hi Cliff,
The wooden box behind the battery is the fuse box. The pic below doesn't show the weatherstripping, but I made it water-tight. I also made the buss bars myself.
And thanks for the tip about the mattress. I have an air mattress that fits, but I didn't have enough fabric to cover it. I used a smaller mattress for the pics so I could use the fabric I did have and complete "the look."

Take care,
Miguel
