Hey y'all,
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback and the attaboys! As far as the questions -
Mike, I guess it towed well, I've never really towed anything before. It didn't push going down the mountain, a lot of times I didn't really know it was there. It did take a little longer to stop at a traffic light, and the Dodge Caravan seemed to work a little to pull it back up the mountain. Also, I learned not to put stuff on the bunk for the trip, as it moves around and falls off (doh!).
Yeah, it took 4 years to finish, and the kids got older and grew. Geez, 2 of them were still preschool back then?
Here's getting started in Nov 2007
The bunk still worked well, though. I agree it is handy to be able to take the bunk out if not all 5 of us are camping.
Haven't built the beach wheelchair yet, and could have used one. Here is the old thread for that:

Main problem was that it was hot - Temp in Myrtle Beach was upper 90's. I am having a 12volt problem, which impacted the fantastic fan, so used box fans through the 110volt circuit, but I think it would have been better if the vent fan were working (Or if the environmental temp were 15 degrees less). Here's the thread about the 12volt problem:

I had a couple of people interested in it. One fellow with a 5th wheel, he was like - "What is that, is that a camper? Did you build it? Really?" He thought it was cool, though.
I'm hoping to get back out again in September - Will keep you posted!
