I envision Tear Droppers sitting around the camp fire, breaking out the guitar, banjo, juice harp, or whatever musical instrument is handy, and singing a rolicking version of:
The Tear Dropper's Song
I got hooked with the Tear Drop Fever, hotter than a pepper sprout,
I’ve still hooked on Tear Drops, ever since the fire went out.
I started building this Tear Drop, I ain’t a messin’ around,
Lookin’ everywhere for trailer parts,
Runnin all over town.
All the folks over at Home Depot, and even Lowes know my name.
And over at the Harbor Freight store, takin’ my money is their big game.
My garage is stuffed with lumber, my poor car has to sit outside,
When I see how much work there's left to do,
I just wanna run and hide
That’s what happens when you build a Tear Drop, It seems to take over your life,
Sometimes you just plain forget that you have kids and a wife.
When you started buildin’ a Tear Drop, It all seemed to be just a lark,
But, now you spend all your spare time
Working on it from dawn to dark.
Well, go on and build your Tear Drop, go ahead and wreck your health.
Sink all that money into it, make a big fool of yourself
Yeah, I'm building this ole ’ Tear Drop, building it for better or worse,
Spend every penny on tools and lumber,
Ain’t no money left in my purse.
What am I gonna do with this Tear Drop, if I ever get ‘er done?
Guess I’ll just have to go campin, and get up with the mornin’ sun.
I’ll hook it and hit the highway, make my first campin’ run.
I may be stuck building this Tear Drop,
But, it shore is a lot of fun!!!
At least, it is for me....
