i grew up camping in various tents during my youth & for a short while my parents had a pop-up camper. thanks to awesome family memories, boy scouts, etc, i've always loved (or maybe need?) to go on road trips and just get out there... whether it's the deeps of yellowstone or a local state park for a quick weekend. so, for 39 years i've mostly been a tent camper. i first saw a teardrop in eureka springs arkansas last year.
(eureka springs is awesome, btw... google it!)
anyway, when i saw the teardrop i had no idea what it was, but i'm a geek so i started researching... $13,000?!?... i can't afford that! *sigh*
and then i met the girl of my dreams (who had also been camping by herself for lack of a partner) & since then we've been thru some crazy storms/ tornadoes/ tent flooding together.
so now i'm building a teardrop. nothing fancy, but i like the idea of a non-flooded tent. i also love making stuff & have been basing my build on a slightly altered version of mike's generic benroy plans. so i realize my build isn't ground breaking or maybe even slightly interesting, but if anybody reads this & has advice along the way i'd appreciate it.
