Weekender - Cornerbead

I was looking at the best way to join the vertical walls to the roof, without using the angled aluminum molding.
I will use the Uniflex 255 paint (Doctor Rot) and the Epoxy Filler.
While at Lowe's I noticed a galvanized and sturdy cornerbead used for home construction. I thought, since all the angles on the Weekender are pretty sharp, this would make a sturdy corner and require less epoxy to fill the voids.
Has anyone tried this technique?

Yes, at Lowe's they have some real sturdy corner bead. Since I changed my TD build to a Weekender, the side profile is straight and makes the use of corner bead very easy. Since I am not using any angled aluminum to cap my seams, I thought the corner bead will cap the voids between the side and top which would allow me to use less epoxy filler to fill the gaps and it would also give me a sharp and strong line/edge.
I just talked to Frank and he radiused all his corners and I am now considering this. Just wondering what everyone thought about using corner bead.

Bandit, do you think you might have a rust problem, if so you may have to some sort of preventive measures. I also looked at that same materials but choose the 3/4" aluminum L moulding in stead.

The corner bead that I looked at seems to have some coating or clear coat. I will get a piece and leave it outside and see.

i amy be missing the boat on this one but i dont think corner bead would be needed if your just talking bout screwing the roof on top of walls and coating with ceps.??????

I'm interested in getting a very square and not wavy transition from the side walls to the roof. I know that Frank radius'd all his corners to get and TD feel with the Weekender profile. May just round the corners with a belt sander and fill with epoxy filler or bondo.

Bandit that sounds like a better idea. I too would worry a little about moisture and rust later on.
