I just checked on the ebay auction for the scotty,
in reviewing the questions the seller was asked today,
including .. condition of roof, and do you have the title ?,

and, since the reserve is met, will you end the auction early
for an agreed upon price?,

the seller replied ... I LISTED IT AS A RARE FIND,
that tells me the seller is "most likely" aware of its value,

maybe. maybe not,

but there are (for sure) some that know,
(at least 1 bidder)

see ya'

Looks like artchick65 has pulled into the lead again at $455. I've been watching too George. Wish I had the space for it, I'd give you some competition. Only 35 hours or so left.

I have a feeling it's gonna go much higher. Of course maybe "artchick" is really one of the seller's ids. Notice the seller has "0" feedback. Furthermore, the sellers' website is loupcreekart.com I smell a rat. Regardless, it's gonna go for stupid money. I predict much more than what it's worth. At least we'll get a good laugh.

Man, that was just yesterday. Have had some good times talking with him a few years back on another board. Was looking forward to meeting up with him and some of the East Coast people next year. :(

Have a good day.

i just checked the auction and there is a couple hours left and the price is about 600.00, although its considered rare, i am not interested in purchasing at this price, (cost will most likely go a little higher)

if anyone wants to purchase this trailer i can pick it up and transport as far as nashville, tn. and store for a couple of monthes,

im going to work, but buy it if you want it and contact me to let me know i should plan to pick up for you,

thanks,

I'll bet his reserve is also higher. It might be interesting to email the previous buyer to see what happened.

Have a good day.

As I noted above, I asked the seller a couple of questions and here is his answer:
"Yes, the buyer backed out....thought he could offer me much less than the 1191.00 price he won the auction for because the reserve price was lower....so I decided to relist the item since there were several other interested parties. The pictures and the description does not leave anything out. The title is clear and ready to transfer to new buyer. This camper is VERY RARE, and as described is in fair to good shape for a 45 year old camper."
Hope that clears up why he reposted.

Have a good day.

That's the same answer I got from the seller, and now the person who reneged on this trailer is bidding on another.....LINK

I've emailed this seller to let them know what happened in the other auction.

I looked at the feedback for the person that backed out. If this person did indeed back out, the person who listed it didn't give them any negative feedback. I find that odd.
