Thanks Dave...

The spar urethane on the pine sure does glow, doesn't it...

I'd like to know where you are able to find so many flat pine boards!

Great build, Mike!! I'll patiently wait for the finished result. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that a TTT could be made mostly of foam. Wonderful results.

Now I know why you were interested in the outside measurements of the SideKick

GPW,

On the other side of that door framing is a reveal, similar to what you did on your foamie. I did take a picture of the reveal, I'll have to post it to this thread, it may not happen tonight though...

Did you put a spacer in between your wall and your trim for your insulation?

I used a 5.2mm spacer...

That pine really does look good all poly'd up. Can you access the space underneath the bed or are you going to put outside accesses in?

Keep up the great work!

Ah, perfect.

I had some 5.2mm luan laying around so that's what I used. End result is the same...

I haven't picked out my weatherstripping yet, but I'm hoping to find some small, flexible d shaped insulation.

Have you picked out your insulation yet?

Hiya Ratkity,

I've not installed the hinges yet, but yes, the bed lifts up.... the whole darn thing, except for the 1x10 that you can see in the rear... Given that we are going to have a 6" foam mattress in there... or maybe it's 8", I can't remember... it's going to be heavy. So I am planning on doing 21 presses a day, using the bed platform as my weight.

I should be in real good shape for the camping season next year, eh?
