Will you be able to plug in when at work?

Has anyone tried radiant floors for heating?

Yes, I stay at regular campgrounds or RV parks, sometimes someone has built a park just f0r us! The jobs I work usually have 300-500 employees and last 2-6 months, so they pay for themselves and then the owner has a free park!!

As far as the floor heating goes, it would b a good idea, but would require constant hot water and lots of antifreeze for travel or if the power goes out...

I was thinking about the electric kind that is embedded in a mat that is laid under the floor and hardwired. Kind of like an electric blanket.

I was wondering the same thing about the radiant heating in the floor. It doesn't get really cold in the Sunshine State, but my wife gets cold easily and the floor is also the only part not insulated. Would warm the trailer and be nice and cozy on the feet.

Got a lot done today! Finished all the plumbing and electrical. 12v and 110v. Tested everything, no leaks and elec works awesome! Picked up a new battery and got it installed.
Finished all but 1 section of the walls. Caulked the shower and installed the shower doors.
it was a VERY busy 13 Hr day!!!!
Gonna do a few minor things n the morning and go for a test night tomorrow.

Not bad for about 10 days...

A few more pics....

Do you have any detailed pictures of the shower pan and toilet install? Specifically the black tank, flange and toilet install. When I do one of these I want to save space by doing exactly what you have done. I like/want the bigger shower space without having to build a large room. Nice build so far. I will be bookmarking this for future reference.

Thanks!

Didn't take enuf pics...

Was in too big of a hurry...

I didn't do any tanks yet, just hard plumed it like a park model, 90% of the places I stay (private owned parks) gave full hookups
But I will install them.this winter.

The stall is a 48x34 auquaglass, very well built and reinforced. It was only available in a center drain, would have liked a left hand drain but it works...

I just set the toilet as far right as the flat surface allowed, and spaced from the drain to cleat the floor crossmembers. Marked and cut a 4" hole, installed and WAY over-caulked the toilet flange.

This will allow a grey tank and black between the crossmembers, with one between the tanks if that makes sense. A crossmember is between the two drains...

Makes sense in MY head.

I'm trying it out at a local park tonight and tomorrow, ill report on how it goes.

5Pwelder,

WOW! What a great build thread. :applause: How did I miss this thread earlier? That is some very nice and intense work you've done in ten days. Very inspiring!

Please keep us posted on your progress.

I just realized the toilet is in the shower. Where will your bed be?

Nice work on the details you have already completed.
Don't forget the P-traps for the drains if you won't have holding tanks don't need to smell the sewer gas or wake up dead.

Lol! Thanks again!

The bed is on the platform above the rear storage, againts the rear door. We are using a very nice airbed now, but will get a nice queen mattress soon.

10-4 on the traps! Put an s-trap under the sink and a p-trap in the shower drain.

All went well last night, found a little drip from the pop off on the water heater, but a quick flip fixed that.

Things went very well on our 3day 2night trip!
Temps were in the low 90's and the ac kept it at a nice 68° every thing worked as I planned, just need a much thinner mattress. The airbed we used is over 16" thick!!! Puts me way too close to the ceiling and alomst impissibe to get my big butt up there! Lol!! Hoping to find a decent mattress that is about 5"-6" thick.

I still have a few trim pieces to install and a couple sections of white board to install, should b complete in the next couple days so I can head out to work again!!

Please don't be shy, if you have any suggestions let me know!!

You can't go wrong with a Walmart 6" mattress foam mattress. Many on the forum have used one. Mine was on sale, shipped for free and arrived ahead of schedule.

My set up is more like a traditional dinette by day, bed by night combo. It was easy cutting it with an electric knife.

If your bed is permanent then you are good to go. Even comes with a zippered cover.

Your build looks great!

I've looked at those, but I think an old school mattress is a better choice for me. My back likes a very firm bed, and we don't wanna upset my back!!! Lol!
