WANTED - Over-Center Latches (Draw Latches)

Postby absolutsnwbrdr » Mon Sep 12, 2011 8:52 am

I'm trying to get parts together for my new build and would love to find these latches, or something very similar.

These are Southco V7 Over-Center Latches, with concealed hardware. I'm looking for the locking version.

I've emailed the company and a few of their distributors, but was wondering if anyone knew of anything comparable to these.

Thanks!

I have those same Locking draw latches on my personal trailer. I got the Stainless Steel variety. You only really need one of them to be locking. This saves a bit of money, as they are very expensive. I got mine direct from Southco a few years ago. I actually found that I was able to talk them down to 1/2 their initial asking price. Still came out to like $75 for the two... which is still a lot of coin for a couple of latches.... but they sure are nice! :D

Sweet! I knew they would be expensive, especially for the stainless steel which is what I wanted.

Didn't even think about the fact that only one really needed to be locking. Image

Thanks for the tip!

No Problem. Southco makes a lot of really cool products that can be used on teardrops. While the parts are spendy, I think they are totally worth it...good stuff.

Got a response back from one company (All-West.com). They have the locking version, die-cast zinc, with satin chrome finish (V7-20-111-20) for $31.43/ea. Shipped from Boise, Idaho.

They didn't mention the S.S. version (V7-20-111-24), so I emailed them back asking specifically about it.

Dennis, I'll have to give that number a call and see what they have to say.
