Even with that endorsement--I refuse to join your ex- smokers group!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Way to go! :applause: After being an ex smoker for thirty something years, I can tell you the urge will go away and you will stop dreaming about smoking and the smell wil become something you do not want to be around. Quiting was one of the hardest things I ever did, As a reward to me, my two kids never picked up the habit! :applause: Now I am just addicted to Teardrops and this forum, and the friends I have made from this group! :) Oh and

MJ,

Way to go, keep after it! I "quit" smoking by substituting chew. It was way harder to quit chew than smokes so be careful and don't be tempted like I was. :?

WAY TO GO!!!! I know that it must be a very hard habit to quit. I just never did smoke but both of my parents did until the day I did not have them any longer. I wish I had been able to have some time with them as non-smokers. Not sure if yall have kids or not but if you do, you are giving them such a huge gift. Hope you lifelong success on this venture.

Congrats, madjack and your better half!!!!

I'm coming up on my 20 year anniversary as an ex-smoker. If I didn't pick up a cigarette when my mother passed away 9 1/2 years ago, I know I'll never pick one up. And, that is a great thing.

If you need encouragement, just hollar.

Congrats MJ,

:applause:

It is tough monkey to get off your back, I quit Marlboros 10 year ago when my daughter was born with the help of Zyban. Can't believe the cost for a pack of smokes now.

MJ,
Way to go.
A doctor taking my history found I'd quit both smoking and drinking about forty years ago. He only had one thing to say, "Saved your life." Never missed either one, just quit. Didn't like who I became when I drank. I'm 73 and just had another birthday, when my doctor installed a Pacemaker. Probably good for another hundred thousand miles.
Congratulations! Another birthday for the two you as well.
Steve

Good for you two, MJ!! Cigs and coffee are two things I never took up (I've tried both, though) and am glad I didn't. I do drink my fair share of beers  !!! I'm cutting back on that because I need to lose some weight. See ya' in a month, buddy!!

It's only a rip off if it doesn't work, Madjack. I started using just nic vapor in May. Best thing to ever come along for smokers.
