12 Volt Questions

Postby Christina » Wed Sep 28, 2011 2:03 pm

I have a 2007 Pleasant Valley Spirit with a 12 volt plug at the foot of the bed and in the galley. I have been looking around for a 12 volt electric blanket or a small heater to use and whatever I find never seems to fit. Most male parts pop right out of the plug. I read that there are two sizes of 12 volt plugs (A and B). Or is there something different between a regular 12 volt plug and a cigarette lighter plug, which I'm assuming most 12 volt items are designed for?

Christina, this article explains in detail the differences.
If your having trouble, just replace the offending plug with a regular 12 volt plug that matches your intended appliance. :D Danny
