New TV - sort of. .

Just had to show this off! - It's going to be my new tow vehical once it has had the once over and all mechanically sound (to my specs that is!) It is a 1994 Ford F150 xlt extended cab with a 5.0 and 4 speed manual tranny with overdrive. Got it for almost nuttin' with a clear title - so I can afford to pour some extra $$'s into it and still be ahead

When I got it there were several things that needed attention - but hey, I bought this as a project truck and I got some mechanic skills! Fixed the parking brake, fixed both power windows, fixed wiper motor - Still have a leaky oil pan gasket to take care, but that's a weekend project away. Air conditioner and cruise control work just fine. Even has a four pin wiring harness. Gave it a major cleaning inside and out and voilia -

it even my favorite color! ;)

Nice.

Is that the 302 V8 or the 300 I6?

I know the aficionados would say the 5.0 is the V8 and the 4.9 is the Straight-Six.

Either way, they are stump-pulling machines both.

I loved my old '94 single-cab with the 300.

I sold it in perfect condition at 260,000 miles for $1600.

I'll miss that truck.

It was the most comfortable truck I'd owned up to that point.

Light-years beyond my old Dodge 4X4 w/ the cummins diesel that preceded it.
Awesome score! :thumbsup:

These are great trucks I have one that's a little newer but they are really comfortable and good all round truck for hauling and still being decent on the fuel bill
There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....
