General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Yep, this winter here we're turning of the air conditioning to go camping finally lol. OK, a Texas thing.

Seriously camping in these areas year round so make changes as we go. So far this season I've changed our cooking situation, now using a Cabelas camp kitchen. Is heavy, but goes up easy and provides this cook with something he hasn't known in camping before, room!

Now next step in this change is hot and cold running water.

I'm thinking of yanking out the wall & cabinets between the galley & the cabin so I can use the trailer as a cargo trailer. Sort of a dual use thing.

I think I have things Just Right. I will need to back it into the shop. Sounds like the Monsoon is about to begin. I still hope to go on a few trips though.

My favorite modification is taking Hiker Chick's idea of the cot pouchy thing (Cabellas). I cut a foot off it so it would fit the 5-Wide. I stuck industrial velcro to the head wall of my Little Guy and velcroed the pouch up. It is very handy.

There will be a number of changes to Compass Rose.
We had a problem with the galley hatch popping open and have to come up with a solution, Ryan at Lefty Originals volunteered to help come up with curing that and fixing poor fit of the hatch and seals, sort of related.
I will finish the air suspension set up and change to oil hubs.
Just finished install of the solar panel.
Need to add a spare tire!

I'm going to change my sink redneck holder to a side of the trailer mount, with Patrick table mount on the back side of the camper. It needs to be higher and closer than the chrome stand I snatched from a laundry basket. LOL

I also want to do something about a better awning with those corkscrew stake stabilizers. Those beach winds really played havoc with my tarp awning setup.

For some reason...the hand pump in the Nomad isn't drawing from the tank....I'll clown around with that, works if I plug the end when I pump...just doesn't draw well on it's own. Other than that....I've got 4 gas pressure stoves pre-war to do. Doug

The only real plans I have is to re-paint the tongue in the Spring.

But when Camping this Winter, If I go by myself I just bring a few more Blankets. Ditch the Butane Stove and bring out the Coleman.

But if I bring a Woman with me I go for Electricity and a heater.

Oh, and a Bottle of Jack.:D

Happy Trails

I'm thinking about adding a pool table in the basement.

We have a pretty narrow counter in our Lil Traveler. Since the lower right area under the counter is open, we're adding a shelf that will support the Coleman stove while we're towing and then can be pulled up to add counter space when the hatch is open. Oh, and a whirlpool tub...

No time

We will hopefully be too busy camping in either the tear or our 4X4 trailer to have time to modify.
