Raining!!!!

Postby southpennrailroad » Sun Oct 02, 2011 8:03 pm

I drove up the mountain to Somerset on Friday night and it started raining.

No parking lot duty and no function so I stayed in my trailer. Rained all weekend. No let up. Now I know I am in my home but I think I need to get out a few times. Thank goodness the bathrooms are across the road from where I am parked and that I need to go often.

But the good thing is no leaks inside the trailer. Temps in the low 40's. I am using the furnace. Propane.

Put the easyup over the teardrop and set up "camp".

It rained on and off the whole time, but I brought rain gear and went out fer walks the whole time I was there !

It was ME and one guy in a 40ft motorhome in the entire place ! HE never came out !

Campin is campin....

Rain, oh yeah, I remember rain. That was before all of these temps in the hundreds. Hey, maybe it'll happen again, someday.

I think we have all your rain here in NJ. If you could kindly send someone to retrieve it, we sure would appreciate that.

You missed Fall Brigade in Mulino OR this weekend, Roly! We had plenty of rain--it's Oregon AND it's only a few hours drive north of you!

When your alone you feel closed in but it does make me think about all the people in the islands where they have flooding and their homes are still under water. I pray for them :worship: But still three days of now dry weather in the mountains

Rain can drive people batty, especially when they are closed up in a small space. It makes us not mind the hot dry weather quite so much.

Maybe you can pull out your umbrella and go for a walk. The exercise and not-so-sunny "sunshine vitamin D" will make you feel better.
