We love ours....

Plenty of power and with the six speed tranny, you can fly up the grapevine doing seventy if you want. Gas mileage could be better, but my trailer is big and heavy also.

RE: New TowVee

Postby mezmo » Mon Oct 03, 2011 11:43 pm

Hi Gage,

Congrats on the new TowVee, sharp looking. Ford is finally getting their
styling appealing.

Just a general pondering now:

One thing I can never understand, though, is why anyone in a HOT
climate - down south, desert areas, Mediterranean climates etc. would
buy a black or dark colored vehicle. They act like rolling solar collectors!!!

I know it is ultimately a matter of personal choice, whether due to likes,
taste, traditional "status" values and such. But I guess I can't see the
reason why so few consider the practical aspects of vehicle color
choice in their climate.

Black and dark colors put a really big additional load on the AC
system and thus will increase its wear and tear and operating expense,
and affects its function and diminishes performance.

To me, a really dark vehicle w/o AC is torture in the hot full summer sun,
even with all the windows down.

As. I said earlier, just wondering. No value judgments intended or
meant. I'm a firm believer in personal choice.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo
