General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

I don't think they look "drab" and I don't like flames
what I do like is the "Accent Bars" on your trailer
if the cost isn't much why not include them?

Yes! Nice addition! I'm not wild about graphics but I think the bars look good.

Thanks for all the feedback! It seems that, so-far, the popular opinion is that they are a positive touch. I have to agree, of course I am biased... Keep the opinions coming...the more data the better.

Thanks

I'm in love with the accents, there are actually lots of suttle options you can do along the same lines

Good Option

How about
    - Circles that match the shape of the door?
    - shapes that match the profile of the tear
    - A cartoon
    - Stars
    - "green oregon footballs"
    - your company logo
    - puppies
    - eagles

or lines
;)

I think they look very, very nice. Simple, clean lines, tasteful even   I like the way the black bars echo the black segments in those beautiful wheels.... :applause:

Very classy.... mirrors the kinda retro aluminium look. Adds a perfect design feature, but nothing too wacky that would put some folks off. Go for it :)

Better 'with'. Gives it an Art Deco touch that suits the styling.

I do like them, but your excellent design could also use some other choices. Your great door design is a modern design as is the wheel and fender choice. Why not find a modern graphic that fits the profile. The possibilities are limitless. I do feel something is better than plain sides. Very impressive build, it just keeps getting better.

I have a whole lot of opinions. How many and which ones would you like?

As far as the accent bars, I think they are good. not overdone and does break up a large area of space. It reminds me of Doug's Rocketear and of a home built from the Portland Oregon area.

Or go with some kind of logo or graphic. Flying birds of some kind seem to be popular in teardrop land so that might work. Unless you step on some toes.

The accent bars add just the right visual. Not too much, not too little...just right. I like 'em!

On the drive home from work today I began to think that a silhouette of a pronghorn antelope about 8 inches or so would look mighty good. And that is about as western north american critter as one can get.

Hi folks, I'm Jon's brother Sawyer, co-builder of the teardrop in question. I just wanted to pop in and say thanks to everyone who offered their opinions, it's hard to make decisions about important visual cues like this without input from a large and wonderful audience like yourselves! I'm glad to see that most folks tend to like the addition of the accent bars...

What I'm curious about is whether or not people mind that these bars are likely to protrude from the body up to a 1/4 inch or so... We're trying to decided on a material to make the accent bars out of, and they could range from flat vinyl stickers to strips of solid wood (finished appropriately of course)...

So what do you think? Is the 3d effect of a dimensional bar important or would you be just as happy with vinyl stickers?
