I retired a few years ago and sold off all of my tools in order to put a little cash into my traveling stash. I figured that I'd be spending all of my time tent camping up in the mountains but old age caught up with me and sleeping on the ground was getting pretty old, pretty fast so I started looking for alternatives to the old tent. That's when I ran into this site.
A small trailer seemed like a good idea for my particular situation but being on a fixed income buying something off the showroom wasn't going to be in the cards for me so building a mobile shack seemed to be the way to go.
What follows is my solution to my particular situation but what I'm proposing to build is only possible because of the information I've found here at this discussion board so I extend a big 'thank you' in advance to all of the people who have posted their building information here. I draw upon the information on a daily basis and seeing what others are doing keeps me going on what sometimes seems like an endless project.
