Bolt this to that

I am finally getting to the point of assembling the HF trailer for my teardrop build. I am fairly confident about any mods that need to be done, such as moving the axel. I do have a question about the floor though.

In several other threads I thought I saw a comment about bolting the frame to the body as opposed to the other way around. I must not be thinking in the right way as it seems to me that it would be the same thing. Is it a question of which side has the nut vs the bolt? Or is the difference that the trailer frame becomes part of the sandwich and as such is bolted to the body?

I am sure it is a simple answer, please help out a confused soul.

The logic we were taught in building overheard iron work supporting equipment bays and cable rack systems in telecommunications system is you can see where bolt is missing if nut is on top and bolt dropped to floor..

If nut side down, your eyes don't always see the missing nut but does see the hole filled....

What that has to do with the rest of the world of bolts and nut, beats the stuffing out of me....

IN most of my construction after retirement I bolt thing together out of convenience and how bolt goes in and ability to get wrenches on bolt heads and nuts...

And I wanted the rounded end of the carriage bolt under my bed not the threaded end poking out past the nut. I did take the time to double nut the threaded end under the trailer to insure the nut would remain in place for the far forseeable future.
