Tail / turn signal / brake lights

My cargo trailer has Glo-Brite tail / turn signal / brake lights. They work just find. However, as I move along in my conversion I took the light out just so I would know how to replace the lamp if needed. The complete lens package is held in by a rubber gasket and seems to work very well, the issue is there does not seem to be a way to take the red lens off the body of the light to get to the bulb. I don't want to apply too much pressure or use a tool and crack the thing. Any experience or suggestion? The way it looks when a bulb needs to be replace I would have to replace the whole thing. Thanks!

On a friends horse trailer you had to replace the complete housing not just the bulb.

others may have a better answer for you.

Are you sure that it isn't an LED light assembly? If so, the lights should outlast the trailer with no bulb replacements necessary.....

For sure it is not LED. I can see the single, old style, bulb in side the lends.

My trailer has these too. They are a sealed unit meant to be replaced as a whole. You can buy the incandescent ones for about $10 each, or upgrade to the LED ones for $20 each at just about any truck stop. I'm sure they're cheaper elsewhere, but that's where I found mine on my last trip when I needed one right then.

The nice thing is, no tools needed to replace it. The not so nice thing, they cost more than a bulb. It's a trade off, but you've got already got it, so I'd keep it. Maybe upgrade to the LED once they burn out. Then you've got it handled for as long as you own the trailer

Thanks Pryofish - I was afraid that is what they were, and I have seen the same kind of lights elswhere for about 10 bucks. My trailer has cut outs for another set (just above the original set) and I'm thinking about adding the extra set just to be more visable. Thanks again.

In the past I have had two of my brake lights break too.
