We're still waiting to see if we can go or not. Will know more more after Oct 17th, maybe??
David got a letter for grand jury duty. If he is on it, he will be on call for 90 days.

Not sure how that system works or how much it will mess up the next 3 months. :roll:

Hopefully if we can go, not all the spots will already reserved. :worship:

I had Grand Jury duty here in AZ ... 2x week for 4 months ... with no time off for good behavior.

Sure hope you don't get picked ... would be nice to talk with someone from my hometown ... well, close by anyway .... I was born and raised in Santa Barbara and my daughter owns rental prop in Goleta.

Hey, I've camped with you guys, tell 'em that anyone with a teardrop isn't fit for the GRAND jury (they need an RVer)... :lol:

I've got space 24, which is near traffic but also near the river. I'll have at least one boat, probably the kayak, so being close to the water means an easier portage.

This little boat hasn't been in the water yet, so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Mike all the sites are near water. the river winds around us. The closest would be the Cabanas. Are you going to the Spooktacular also.

Yes, I'll be at the Spooktacular too.

I was at Buckskin Mountain last year with my Airstream. This time it will be the 'TD Packing Crate' along with a boat or two. Still have to carry the boats so I wanted to be as near to the water as possible. They are light, but my strength is not what it used to be.

Only one spot left! :shock:

I just reserved the other.

With 20/20 hindsight I should have reserved a spot straight away and then just canceled if we need to as we would have had a lot more choices. :roll:

David got stuck on the Grand Jury. There is no telling if or when he will be called back. He will get a two week notice if he has to go in. So until the middle of Jan we can really only plan our lives 2 weeks in advance.

It wasn't very long ago that there quite a few spaces left, so I was thinking maybe I have time to wait and see. But when it got down to 2, I figured I had better grab one or I might find myself with none.

I just know if I waited until there was none, then for sure David wouldn't get called for Grand Jury. :roll:

Now I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that we get to use the reservation.
