Just wondering what some of your favorite pot luck menu items are and why you like them best.

Chili has always been a fun pot luck item and if you can talk a group into a chili cook-off. I've know a few folks that had to sleep with their teardrop doors opened all night

Bar B Que'd ribs never last more than a few minutes at a pot luck and my Carolina Pulled Pork was well liked too.

Everything on these tables! Last weekend Thanksgiving get together. I think we counted 42 dutch ovens on the tables.

Suggestion, if you have not already done so... Download the cook book in main menu above. Members submitted their favorite recipes.
Why just dance, when you can Salsa!

We had a few black pots at the crossroads gathering too.......

The food line started at the fellow in the white tee shirt and the blue shorts way back in the picture.

My big pot luck hit is my meatloaf...

Wow, great suggestions everyone. Love the photos too. I am a little nervous because we will be attending our first gathering and I want to make a good impression.
I am leaning towards making my ham hocks and navy beans. It's easy and yummy and with some corn bread too!

Nancy, don't worry about a thing. You'll do just fine. Heck, there have been people who have gone to the store and got a box of cookies for the pot luck.

Pot Luck

Postby nrody » Wed Nov 16, 2011 4:59 pm

Thanks Gage your very kind.
I think my ham hocks and navy beans will give any chili a challenge for methane bi-product production. Lets hope there is a mild breeze.

I have started making deviled eggs for most of the teardrop campouts... men love 'em and nobody else really makes 'em.

One thing about the teardroppers big potlucks -- don't feel like you have to make a HUGE pot of something or enough macaroni salad to feed 50 ..

Whew, that's a big weight off of my mind :? I don't consider myself a good cook, and I would be afraid to mess up a meal greatly

I can do deviled eggs!!!! Of course, I can do purchased cookies or cake, too :applause:

Thanks
