Foot room?

Postby Glenn Quarles » Wed Nov 16, 2011 10:50 pm

Friends, another question...how much room did you leave between the top of your mattress and the underside of your storage cabinets for foot room?

Thanks!

I designed for 18". And then added a 4" mattress. So its 14" for me too.

Seemed to be enough room, so I did the same for my new build.

It jus SO happened that MY feet fit nicely under the galley shelf...then I added 3&1/2 inches of foam insulation to git the mattress above the door sil so it wouldn't "dig" into the back of my legs when I git in or out of the trailer.

Ya don't need very much clearance there...

I would think that depends on your feet.

I wear a 13, Becky is a 5

BTW, you know what they say about guys with big feet.... we're clowns

Yeah... Men with big feet.. they wear BIG shoes !

What I'm more concerned with is the fact that you called Becky a 5 :o

Don't forget, you may need to crawl back in that hole to make the bed. I have 16 and a couple inches more would sometimes be nice to have.

John

It also depends on how far up your leg the cabinets go
