Now where have I seen that red rustoleum before?

Super nice looking build. I hope your doctors come up with just the thing to fix it. Where ya going, Kennestone? Been there a time or two, and they are wonderful. At least on the cardiac floor, and maternity wing.

Hi Papi
Ya going to Kennestone meet with the Dr. thats going to do the surgery Friday and he seams the think that he will be able to get it all using the Robot and looks like I'll only loose about 1/3 of my right kidney. We are just waiting on a date for the surgery now I think it will be some time around the first two weeks on December. :)

Wall Mounted to Trailer

Postby legend lime » Tue Nov 22, 2011 5:15 pm

Hi Everyone
Well here are some more pics went out to the shop this morning and took the wall off the build table moved the build table and trailer frame from the left bay to the right. Then moved my chain fall out over the side of the trailer so I could lift the wall with it and got it mounted. I’ve started on the other wall and should have the VW window opens done after Thanksgiving, we got a call from the Dr. this morning and they have a cancelation for Dec. 1 so hopefully I’ll get the surgery done then and by Christmas I’ll be back to work on the trailer. I hope everyone has a great and safe Thanksgiving and try not to eat too much.

On Hold

Postby legend lime » Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:40 pm

Hi All
Well I am home from the Hospital and just taking it easy, they did have to remove the right kidney I went in on the morning of the 1st and was home on the afternoon on the 4th. I got the staples out this past Friday and was told to do a lot of walking and no lifting over 10 Lbs for the next 5 weeks so it looks like it will only be going out to the shop and looking at the trailer for a while because my wife follows me around like a hawk and won’t let me do anything. Just wish she had some building skills then I could set out there drink my coffee and tell her what needs to be done. I was able to get the other wall completed on the inside and outside up to the point of sanding the outside and applying the Spar Urethane on it. I also was able to start laying out the rear wall for roof support and cabinets I’ll post some pics the next time I go out the shop.

Thanks: everyone for the great comments.

Julesap: I hope to have it completed by May I have a trip to Calif. In June of 2012 and I am planning on taking it along and camping all the way out and back.

I am glad you are home and only missing one spare part! I'm also glad the wifey is your shadow. The TD building bug is a mighty strong one and you don't wanna over do anything. Continue healing!!

Your build walls are gorgeous and I love how the grain popped out.

Great job!

Hugs,

You just have to hope that they didn't take out your "drinking kidney".
When my sister donated one to our father the doctors took out the wrong one, and now she's drunk after only one beer. :?

I had a leg surgery during my latest build and it put me back a few weeks - I just sat out in the garage and "studied" the build. I was able to ponder build sequences over and over in my head - Just sitting there staring at an unfinished work. But I heeded the dr. instruction and healed up well - then it was on with the build. Take your time and heal well and it will be done in no time :worship:

That trailer is a thing of beauty. Pure artwork. As for doctors, heed their advice and get better soon, so you can get back to building!

(I never heed doctor's advice, and you probably don't either. I left Kennestone following my 3 week checkup after they rebuilt my ankle. I rested my weight on the counter and leaned my cane on my knee-high cast. Doctor wanted to know what was wrong, and I told her I forgot where I put my helmet. I'm sure you are the same, `cause us Georgia boys got work to do!)
