Welcome to the asylum. Need a little more information from ya, what size are you wanting? profile shape. I went with baltic birch, electrical i designed on my own with some advice from the crew here. are you using a trailer frame, or a HF one. let us know what you want and we can help with the dream

Welcome to the forum! Without knowing more about your needs, its hard to come up with a materials list. There are just too many variables and too many ways to build a teardrop. Best way to get started is maybe take a look a the "Generic Benroy Plans" and modify them to be a 5x10. That should at least get your wheels turning!

As you read more on here and come up with more specific questions, everyone here will be able to help you out with more specific answers.

I actually got the plans for the classic teardrop from Kuffel Creek. They had a very good supply list. Since I made some changes with the information I recieved on this board, it changed somewhat, but it was a good place to start.

I totally agree that is how I got started was with the Kuffel Creek plans. I havent looked at them since i started the walls, heck I wonder where they are at.

5x10 is the right size some like the thinner and shorter. I look at Charley and think this thing is huge and neighbors come by and say that is one tiny trailer. (Of course they have nice 35 foot 5th wheels in the drive way)

How tall do you want it, do you want to stand in it or low like a coffin. Are you putting the galley in the back, sink water pump fridge. the more ideas you have the more we can help. I still ask questions as i get closer and closer to finishing.

I started with Kuffel Creek plans, then read a TON of info here and asked a bunch of questions.

Although Kufel Creek was a 4 foot wide, I went 5 foot wide, that is the best thing about building it yourself, you can do what you want!

As far as getting help, ask away ! The folks here will help you all they can ! Learn the search function well, that helps finding info too.

Thanks! Its pretty basic, and much of the info can be pulled from my build thread. I did write up a construction guide, but all the measurements are for a 4ft wide/9ft long teardrop. The one I'm building now is a 5ft wide/10ft long teardrop on a 4x8 trailer frame, but I don't have any final plans drawn up yet. Links to both of the builds are in my signature below.
