Profiles!
Get yer profiles 'ere!
Get 'em while they're 'ot!

Ah - the merry cry of the profile-seller.........

I've redone the profiles on my web site so they're all accessible from one page and they're all in the form of pdf files that contain both geometry information (eg, centre and radius of arcs) and measurements on a grid, to suit whichever method you prefer.

Designs for which profiles are available are:
- Generic Benroy
- Rimple
- Simple
- Superleggera
- Ultralight
- Slumbercoach
- Mini-hopper
- Midget
- Trailer for Two/Mechanix Illustrated
- Cub
- Cabin Car
- Kampmaster

Enough to be going on with?

Very nicely done... You should add a thumbnail photo next to each profile... it gives you additional flavor!

Looks great!

Is there any way you could 'plot' the curves for the 'Cub'?

Either the string points/lengths or the 'XY' thing would be fine.

TIA

I'm getting a "404" error when I click on the PDF for the Cabin Car and the Kampmaster, I haven't tried the others.

Thanks to all.

Thumbnails - I started doing that and realized I didn't have thumbnails of them all, so abandoned the idea. And it would have worn out my little finger ends with all that keyboard tapping.

404 Errors - Now fixed. Don't test links on your home PC and then copy all the files over - especially not where 'all' = 50%....

Cub - I'm really not sure what you want Pete that isn't there already*. Pages 2 and 3 of the pdf have the locuses of the ellipses if you want to draw them out, while pages 4 and 5 have the dimensions on a grid if you prefer that way. I've started adding string lengths but not all are done. You may also want my ellipse drawing guide.

Andrew

* I've just realized your comments would make sense if you had only seen page 1 - is this the explanation?

Sorry Andrew... I only clicked the page 1 and 2 links, I didn't realize I had to click the Adobe link :? All is good in the world again.

Thanks again,
Pete

Sure does.

And how many guys born in Brooklyn who moved to Florida can say that a guy from England is gonna work up a profile for home-built wooden fenders for a TD named The Crab?
