The socket has a slot in it that goes over the jack screw:
I ended up with 2 jack handles so I was going to cut the socket end off one and stick it in my cordless drill. No more drudgery! BUT, then I looked at the price for replacement handles as I tend to loose things and they're not cheap! So I made one for $3 with a 5/8 deep socket and drill adapter from HF Tools. I just cut a slot in the socket with a grinder. Try and get the slot centered in the socket or its a bit wobbly but other than that its a cinch:

How does it work? Well its pretty fast and drudgery free. I don't think I'll take it camping but it's nice for use when we get home:
