I thought it might be interesting to do another poll on frames to get an idea what choice is most popular.

My frame was homebuilt, I purchased the steel and had a friend weld it up.

Many already knows that I took a rotten 13' TT and worked the frame to be suitable for my 10' teardrop.

I didn't know which one to pick. I built it, but I didn't weld it. I did everything involved with it: buy the steel, cut miters on the ends, lay it out, buy the axle, etc. The only thing I didn't do was weld it, which I had my buddy do, who is a professional.

Kevin, I voted "other"...we cut, mitered, jigged it all up at the shop but had a buddy who is a pro come out and weld it up for us...so, "OTHER"

I guess mine would have to be 4 & 5, I built it at home but I worked for a trailer manufacturer for 15 years fabricating and welding trailers, so I quess it was professionally built.

Home built mine, but did weld professionally for a number of years...here's my frame on the Comet 4x10 I got a lot of weight out of the design for trailer #2...that one weighs in at 321# with all the jacks, axle, 15's etc...hanging on it...Doug

The old frame looks a lot like what the ultralight guys are coming up with.

I use a manufactured frame. I'm capable of building my own frames, in fact I used to. They were a much better quality than the manufactured frames too.

My only reason for using a manufactured frame is that here in Pennsylvania it is sooo much trouble to get a title that its just not worth it.

There are lots of posts, and Horror stories on this board about this process in Pa.

Used the TSC no floor 5X8. After speaking with Andrea Jones about the difficulties she and Mark had getting a title from the Virginia DMV for their TD, thought it would be a good idea to purchase one with a title.

It was a breeze getting the trailer registered. If I were to build another, I would do the same thing.

The results of this poll are really surprising me so far. I expected to see more bolt together trailers, you know the red ones... as it turns out, there's more home built ones so far...

I'd like to see more votes on this poll...

I had a local trailer manufacturer weld mine up. I provided the axle.
