Any self respecting gas pressure person ought to have at least 1 252 and 1 530. Don't know what the numbers are? 252 milspec lantern...530/520 GI pocket stoves. Doug

I got my 530 in the wild. Now on the look out for a 252 in the wild. Much more respect than if you get them from the Ebay.

Randy...what's cool on the military stuff.....it just roars! The 252 with the 99 mantles outshines a 2 mantle one IMO. The sound is what makes them both special. I'd like to get a WW2 lantern and a Vietnam one as well. Doug

Yeah...that must have been the hand warmer option that they had! Someone had cooked a load of lead on the one that I got...all the screws for the frame into the tank were leaded in. Doug

Doug, right now I am using the latest 413 I got, ( last Julyish) to heat my water kettle. Been using it for the past few days. Funny about this stove is the pump rod does not go all the way in before it bottoms out. Like the rod is almost 2 inches to long. I have not yet pulled it out but it works just fine and it bottoms out just like any other. Do you. ( any other Coleman Keeper ) know if this might come from some other appliance?

My 530 looks like it had not been used much, and with great care. It was in real nice shape

Randy...I can measure a typical 413 pump for you...the 3H that you sent me does have a longer pump on it and it may be that someone swapped one in. I've swapped stems/pumps into different stoves and sometimes have put 2 springs on a pump so that it didn't come off the stem if it was the incorrect pump set up. I'm thinking it was a newer 413 into an older cylinder type 425 tank.

I got my 530 at the Coleman thing in Nor Cal. It was full of gunk...I dropped BB's into the tank and they didn't even rattle...just stuck in the gunk...we did a major load of Berrymans in it, 2X and some acetone when I got home...runs great now! Did you know you can rewind the screen on the gennie in it? Doug
