Ah, but is it gone? How many other items are retained in their original packaging, often for decades? It's because the original purchasers knew from the beginning they had something special and needed to protect it. How could you be so caullus as to forsake that thoughtfullness for future Coleman lovers to admire Scott? These aren't some cheesy plastic action figure we're talkin' about here...
I can see it now - a new line of business - reproduction boxes! Just makes sense - we have reproduction globes, labels, mantles, and even parts - so why not boxes?? Sell you Coleman stuff for more than its worth because it's in a box - it had better be d@rn special before I'll ever pay more just to get a box!
