G'Day... Long time Stalker first time talker....

Wow this place is awesome... why is it so bloody hard to find..? I found this place by accident. I 've been researching doin a teardrop/camper for nearly a year now.. I have pretty well planned out the how when an where.. We have been a large caravan family due to circumstance, but now those circumstances have changed and whilst we like to get out n back to basics.... :R I like the creature comforts as well.... Can't wait to get the beast on the way now...

Welcome.
I only just found it myself. I wish I had found it 7 years ago when I started my build. Water over the dam now.
I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. I find many ways to improve my trailer here. 8)
Happy trails,
Hoyt

Which Paul would that be Mike? :R

Hey, Welcome to the playground Mr Bananabender ;) I hope you realize that you are within a bees thingy of Australia's smartest TD Builder. He lives up at Boronia Heights and they call him Reiner. Let me know if you need contact info. If not, enjoy your time here and remember that Miriam DEMANDS pics of your build.
Cheers
Paul

At this stage from what I've seen here it's call a simple or a variation there of.. Will be Queen size bed with Single bed across the front(for the 4 year old) tapered front, reverse a/c, flat screen with Surround (and the foxtell dish  ) full kitchen including dishwasher, fridge, fold away hooded burner/bbq ... Varnished interior... Really kewl Purple (chysler neon colour) led lighting.. fold out awning on both doors.. 12/240... maybe 2 kg washing machine..

 I am sure you will have lots of good times and make some new memories when you start camping with the family in your build. You have a very ambitious kitchen planned. Enjoy and take advantage of the nearby expertise in Ozztralia. Also, Aunti M may demand pictures but MadJack is really the Enforcer in this area.

The person you refer to as Reiner... yes he builds aussie teardrops.. but he was pretty well insulting when I met him.. his TD is so over priced it actually drove me to design my own... 10 grand for a TD... I don't think so... but hey each to there own... watch my space...

I guess it depends on attitude presented and the old quality versus price argument.

Yes true.... Don't get me wrong I'm a big beliver of you get what you pay for... but having said that and being business owner myself i'd rather get 10 units out the door a month at a 60% markup as compared to 2 or 3 at 100%+... But anyway it will be a great exercise my 15 year old is starting to enjoy manual arts at school so it will be good for him, and my rollcab hasn't seen the light of day in over tens years.. who knows maybee he will enjoy doing my old trade..
