Please help -- can't see photos in forum

Over 90 percent of the photos posted in this forum have a red x on my computer. What do I need to do to fix the problem?

Hmmm.... it could be could be a DNS problem. Try accessing several sites that you haven't visted recently. See if you're having a problem connecting to those sites. If you're having a problem connecting to those sites, try rebooting your computer. Also, if you're connecting through a router, reboot the router too. If that doesn't solve it, contact your ISP.

...could also be a security/pop blocker setting in your browser or if on dial-up a really slow download speed...checking those things have helped others...

Madjack:

You were right on. I turned down the security setting one notch and can now see all photos.

Thanks.

ahhhhhhhhh, the metaphysical world of hi tech...ain't it grand...don't know how folks used to survive...if all else fails, getta really big screwdriver(with insulated handle) and stick it inside of case, move around until the lights all go out...the getta candle andda book ;) ...sorry wish I could be of more help...are most all pics failing to show up or just the occasional one...if it is just the occasional pic, it may be hosted off site...also your security settings may have reset themselves(metaphysical ya know)

You're right. It reset itself. We're back in business for the time being. This thread has all the ups and downs of a soap opera. Stay tuned. . . .

The same thing happens to me until I log in. Then, all the red "x"s disappear and I can see the photos. George.
